Dear Diary,

Today, it is still raining and cold. So, I chose a soft, hand knit wool sweater in Wedgwood blue with black and white trim. I’ve been hunkering down inside, sleeping most of the day.

Dear Diary,

I did not get to the groomer on Saturday because I had an upset stomach. However, I am feeling better today, and went outside to smell the flowers.

Dad gave me my 20 year, 4 month birthday presents, a new leash and harness. I am going to model it on my next grooming visit in 2 weeks.

Dear Diary,

I am still feeling under the weather. I don’t feel like eating not even my cookies. I guess I can’t call myself a Cookie Monster anymore.

Three times a day, I sit on Dad’s lap wrapped in a towel and let him squirt food in my mouth. I really don’t love this process. However, I sit still cause I know Dad is trying to help me get better. I hope that I get my appetite back soon.

I have a little more energy today. I am still able to walk and potty on my own. I don’t have any trouble finding my water dish and I always wait by my gate, when I need to go outside. I still like to nuzzle Dad, and walk around the back yard, when the rain stops. Hopefully, my new food will help me gain weight, and feel better.

I have not heard from my friend, Shama. I hope she is doing well. I guess I will take a little nap now.

Dear Boo,

Mama doesn't know that I am actually able to type! She's in the other room, so I'm quickly jumping on the Forum to say that I think of you every day! You are so special to me! You are also special to my papa, my mama, and everyone else on the Forum! I hope you find your appetite again soon. I'm glad to hear you still engage in a lot of your regular activities.

You would not believe how busy Mama has been this school year. That's why she's been neglecting the Forum. She also spends a little too much time on Instagram (@shamamama15).

My family is planning to participate in the Animal Humane Society's Walk for Animals again this year. Would you like to be the honorary captain again? Boo's Hounds is such a great name for our team, I think!

Mama and I are grateful that Papa remains a loyal Forum member. Mama will try to write again soon, but she's crazy busy until April 19.

This bout of IBD is really kicking my butt. I vomited twice last night, even though I am taking Cerenia. At least, according to Dad, my poop still looks good. In fact, I just pooped.

Dad told me that I was vocalizing all night. I’m not sure about that but Dad did let me sleep next to him on the floor. He let me rest my head on his arm and pillow. He even covered us with a special blanket that my grandma quilted.

Dad just gave me some medicine about an hour ago. So I am getting sleepy now. I told Dad that I will try to rest for a while.

I am very worried too. He is gonna see his specialist tonight or tomorrow. I am wondering if he is having another episode of vestibular disease (vomiting, balance problems, crying).

I hate to read that this is still going on, and join in the worry for the little man. 🥺 We'll be watching to see what the specialist thinks, and if he's got anything else up his sleeve.
