Millie was doing great with potty training and using the pads. She stand by the door when she wants to go out and do her business and at night and in the playpen she used the pad, but something happened this weekend and she stop peeing in the pad, now she pee next to pad or everywhere she pleases. I’m also trying to teach her to pop on the pad but she is not doing it. Whe live north of NYC and sometimes during the winter she may not be able to go outside. I don’t know what to do she is my first Dog, please advise.

It is not unusual for dogs to have “backslides” in their potty training. The answer is always the same. Tighten up on your eyes-on supervision, and your confinement in a small area with her potty pad, any time you cannot give her eyes-on supervision. The same is true for the poop issue, though some dogs would rather hold it for a LONG time rather than poop on a pad in the house.

You might consider having a vet check for her if the peeing in different places continues, (or more frequently, also.) UTI's (urinary tract infections) can result in changes of pattern with peeing.
