Vinny arrived 4 weeks ago, and has changed our life forever. He’s a sweet boy, who has adapted quickly to his new home. He’s already bell trained, sleeps through the night and is slowly learning not to chew on our hands. Glad to have the experience of other Havanese families, as we figure out life with Vinny!

GEE Mark, welcome to the family and what a cute dog! How old is this "keeper?" @krandall is this going to be a similar coloring to your LUCKY DUCKY as he matures? If so, the price of that puppy should double immediately! Mark, you seem to have hit the lottery with VINNY!

Vinny is just 3 months old. He’s our first Havanese, and my first dog in 30 years! What a delight these little pups are... yes, we think we hit the lottery with him. His final coat color? I have no idea... he is definitely beautiful now, but I think it’s always a mystery as to the final coat color, no?

No, Vinny is priceless, but not the same color. Vinny is a sable. He will likely eventually lose most of the black and the colored areas are likely to be close to the color in the lighter circles around his eyes.

Ducky is a clear red. He has no black in his coat at all. Clear reds can be anything from pale cream (almost white) to “Irish Setter red”. In Ducky’s case, His red areas will likely to darken somewhat from the color he is now, to match the color of his ears, most likely. (His nose will continue to fill in black as well)

Ducky is adorable! Vinny’s coloring is formally called “Red Sable Parti.” It will be interesting to see how the colors evolve in both Vinny and Ducky!

Welcome Mark & Vinny! I just love his inquisitive little look and pose! He’s adorable AND smart, having already learned all those things already!

Hi Mark Rosen, Vinny's dad, this is Ruby's mom. Your little guy is just adorable, what a cutie. I am so happy for you that you get to experience the love and joy he will give to you. Thanks for your message. I'm not too far from you and Ruby is now 10 months old and would love to meet a young man. You asked about a groomer. I have taken her to Oh My Dog in Foster City and they have done a great job, been very gentle and loving . And here's Ruby

Ruby is very cute! We would happy to find some time for a play date. I am sure Vinny has much to learn from an older woman. Vinny just had his 2nd round of vaccinations, so perhaps after his last parvo vaccine. About 4-5 weeks? Good to know about the groomer in Foster City. At what age did Ruby get her first grooming?

By the way. Vinny was acquired from Linda Luikens at High Moon Havanese in Coalinga California. They just refurbished their website, and pictures of Vinny and his siblings are posted on the “puppies” page.
