Still hoping for an end to the wetness!! We will be there weather permitting on the 18th and I will post the date and location on the SF Meetup Group site as well. They are hoping to meet on Sunday 3/19 at 10:30. The group is smaller and meets in a dog park with other, often large dogs present. The link is SFHavanese: The San Francisco Bay Area Havanese Group (San Francisco, CA) utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=share-btn_savedevents_share_modal&utm_source=link

Actually I was mistaken regarding the SF city meetup. No date has been established yet for March.

We will be there if its dry! Vinny would love it!
Another rainy day! Poor Truffles was so anxious this morning with the heavy rain. She really doesn't like the wind! The 10 day forecast shows rain possible everyday. There is a 53% chance of rain next Saturday. Just wondering if a get-together might be better in a few weeks? The lawns will be pretty wet...

Hoping the weather cooperates… good think we didn’t try for the first half of the month!

So funny, that’s definitely the group we used to meet up with when Charlie was young (so probably like 2012-2014 or so?) but eventually the meet ups seemed to stop… guess they came back though! We also went to a meet up before we got Charlie to meet the various pups and it sealed the deal on getting a Hav, very nice people.

Aww, poor Truffles! Yep, we’re all still getting drenched, though we’ve been lucky compared to others since we live in the flats and not too close to a body of water.

I’m hoping the forecast clears, but agree that if it rains all week, the ground will probably be quite saturated. We out of town the following two weekends, but around in April in case next week doesn’t end up being popular.

So the forecast is looking a little better, but everything is very saturated here, so not sure a grassy playdate will work out too well (unless everyone is down for extremely muddy pups….) Mine come back soaking wet from a walk around the block when it’s NOT raining! If others are still game, that’s fine, but thought maybe we should throw around April dates like @Heather's suggested? We could do any weekend in April except the first one.

Scout and Truffles just came back from their walk in RWS. Hubby said the grass is pretty saturated. Today there are blue skies so hopefully the weather will continue to improve.

Able to meet this Saturday after all at scheduled time, but also okay to reschedule if those nearest Redwood Shores ( @Heather's ) deem it too muddy for our floofy friends! Will keep an eye out on thread and assuming someone will make an executive decision by Friday afternoon? From where I am, I see no rain in forecast until next week, but who knows with how temperamental this season has been!

Another beautiful blue sky day! Looks like we are getting a rain break until next week. The grass should be much drier now. We might have miss all the fun this time.

I will actually be in Redwood City this afternoon and can check out the conditions but will go with the group decision. We could come on 3/25 but will be away the first two weekends in April. Please note that the SF Meetup group I mentioned has arranged an indoor meetup for 3/26. Details are on meetup.com. If you can't sign there and really want to go, I can probably get extra tickets beforehand.

Yes, Lisa. Tracey and John are still running the group. They lost their Havi but now have a 1 year old. I expect that happened with others as well. The member list is large but only a few people attended the last one. See you soon!

I’m onsite now and sorry to see that the grass has not been tended. There are many Pineneedles and leaves on the ground and the grass is rather high and spongy. I’m hoping we might be able to schedule for next weekend, but if not, I’ll be looking forward to seeing you in April, hoping that mid April will work for y’all

Thanks for the update! Sounds not ideal in several ways despite the weather being nice right now. I wouldn’t be able to join next week, but Rob might, so let me know if you decide to do it and I’ll see if he can bring our guys. Otherwise, game for mid April!

Thank you for checking the conditions in RWS. Thought the grass may have dried out a little. Recently the furkids have been going for walks at Oracle because it is paved, but dogs must be leashed. Looks like more rain is on the way. Hopefully the weather will be better in April. :)

I agree. Let’s wait for a drier time frame.

Will look out for another suggested date— sounds like next weekend was a possibility for some but April was better for most. Hard to pin down one date for this many busy Havanese, I guess! Wishing everyone a dry weekend with their pups.
