Over the next twenty weeks, every Sunday evening, I will post a picture and description of one of Boo’s twenty favorite spots to visit in Southern California. I chose to list twenty spots as a tribute to Boo, since he graced this earth for twenty delightful and fun filled years. I hope if any forum members are in SOCAL, they will stop at one of these spots and remember Boo (and post a picture, of course).

Stay tuned for a picture(s) and description of the first spot tomorrow evening.

#1 Vroman’s Bookstore, Pasadena, CA

Vroman’s has been a Pasadena fixture, since the 1890’s. To this day, it remains one of the few independent bookstores, owned by the descendants of the original owners. It’s current location is on Colorado Boulevard, the route for the famous Tournament of Roses Parade.

As BoosDad is a voracious reader, Boo and Dad visited this shop several times a month, when Boo was able to get out and about. They are very dog friendly and helpful.

Strangely, when I arrived to visit Vroman’s this morning, the skies open up and it started to rain, as if the heavens were mourning for Boo. I will never forget my little boy.

Stay tuned for next Sunday, when I visit another of Boo’s favorite places.

What a wonderful way to remember Boo! I’ve never been to SOCAL (being wayyy over on the other coast here) but if I make my way there with Chase we’ll for sure hit this gem of a bookstore. Excellent pics!

What a wonderful bookstore! This is a great post and I'm looking forward to another almost 5 months of posts. We will keep track of Boo's adventures and hope we can see at least one of them in the future. Boo lives on 🥰
