I am sorry to tell you that Evelyn's Whimsy, who I'm sure many of you older members will remember, passed away very suddenly today. She has been absolutely healthy and fine. They suspect either a stroke or a brain tumor. It was very sudden. She is a contemporary of Kodi's and came to the forum just about when Kodi did, so this hits very close to home. Evelyn is a wonderful photographer and the forum is sprinkled with FABULOUS photos of Whimsy.

I just saw on Facebook that a member named Evelyn that used to be very active on the forum just lost her beautiful dog, Whimsy, today. She always took the most beautiful pictures of her dog and posted them here. She said that Whimsy had a sudden, massive stroke and had to be put down. So very sad.

Such a shock. I always loved seeing Whimsy in all of the beautiful photos Evelyn posted. Her Christmas photo from this year had Whimsy in a shopping bag and was so sweet.

I am so sorry to hear this. I was wondering how old Whimsey was. I didn’t know if strokes are something that can happen at any age or typically happens in older dogs.

She was almost 12. Evelyn mentioned a possible undetected brain tumor being the cause of the stroke.

Gosh this is such sad news for me. I have missed Whimsy over the years, Evelyn was Whimsy's owner. They were from the Chicago area. Evelyn joined Havanese Forum in 2010. Whimsy's last post was in February, 2017. This is Whimsy's Valentine photo from her last post. She was such a gorgeous Havanese.

I will miss you Whimsy but I will see you someday at the end of the Rainbow Bridge.

Evelyn's photos of Whimsy inspired me to take photos of my sweet Shama. I've always thought that Shama was cute, but I thought that Whimsy was GORGEOUS. ShamaPapa and I are very sad.

She just posted it this morning, and whimsy collapsed and died this afternoon. 😢
