As I sit here typing this, Tillie is LOVING a tupperware container I gave her because she would NOT settle down this morning! LOL I am TRYING to keep her calm, no running, jumping/etc... she is "digging" this container... literally! it is hillarious! she has been playing with it for like 20 minutes! awesome!

So, what strange, odd, weird thing can keep your havs occupied for a good length of time??

This isn't an odd toy, but I felt I had to post it. Sammy is playing with his Kong and has been for the last 20 or so minutes. I put cut up turkey bites into it and put it on the couch for him. He has been working at getting the turkey out, but what's funny is that he keeps rolling it off the couch with his nose and then jumping down, picking it up and jumping back onto the couch with it. he's really being quite active with it. This is a big leap for him. :clap2::bounce:

Busy, yes. Quiet?!?! Wait till you hear the noise they can make by "shaking" the bottle violently against the floor. NOT quiet!!!!:pound:

Oh, he's not walking... he's running full tilt, even though he can't see a thing!<g>

The other thing that's funny is that the way he holds the bottle wrinkles up his nose, and must put pressure between his nostrils and the plastic. So the whole time he's running, he sounds like a Pug with a head cold!:pound:

Cicero got so excited about all the red balls I hung on the Christmas tree so I gave him one. He is still playing with it daily. He can't pick it up since it's large and slick but he runs pushing it and it flys. He gets it in a corner and uses his nose to flip it in the air over and over. The bad part is he whins when it gets under something and he can't get to it - and I get tired of getting down on my knees so often. I don't have the heart to hide it since he loves it so.

Roki loves milk bottles - he hears that I have one in my hands even when he is asleep. When he gets one, pandemonium starts he isrunnig all over the place with the bottle throwing it in the air, gnawing it, chewing it... Twenty minutes later the bottle look as if it was in hydraulic press. If I reallly want to make him bussy and don't mind mess in my appartement, I give him soft cardboard box. He is so systematic that I have to vacum the remains. He is not after undies, but he loves socks and even more pantyhose. If washing machine door is left unlocked, he gets all dirty clothes out and sorts socks and pantyhose on one pile and everthing else on other pile.
His favourita is also vacum claeaner and mop. When he was a puppy he would "board" on vacum cleaner brush for a ride. Now he is just chasing chasing it aronud and playing like mad. An mop makes him totally extatic. Before Christmas I was washing all my wooden floors. he was chasing mop for two hours. After that he just dropped on the floor and fell asleep.

When my son Kelly was a toddler I bought him a Bessel vacuum cleaner instead of one of those pop walk around toys. It was great he cleaned while he played.
Zoey loves her toy box she sits in it and digs for all the chews Maddie trys to hide.
Maddie gets into my recycle and loves the water bottles the problem is the sticker on the bottle gets glued to the side of her face:)
The two together love paper towels it is a tug a war then a rip then another tug a war its is fun to watch. I do not like it when they eat the paper though.

We used a piece of cotton rope clothesline for something, and somehow the rest became a dog toy. We tied it in a big knot but it is always coming undone (how exciting!). It gets shaken, chewed, run after - they love it. For some reason it is "better" than the rope toys from the pet shop. It also seems to be fairly indestructible, and goes through the wash when it gets too dirty.

The other fav toy is the sheepskin duster. This is a special treat that only comes out when I vacuum or clean the house (ahem - not too often, that is). The leaping and jumping to try to catch it is a great way to tire them out!

These stories are wonderfully funny. I love them. Ruby, as most of you know, is my little monster. She loves to play with very expensive items that she can destroy. Other than that. Not a day goes by that she pulls some of my underwear out of the laundry basket and trots around the house with it. Unfortunately, by the time I reach her sometimes, it's crotchless. She also loves bras . . . and socks . . . in that order.

The boys are soooooo good by comparison.

Panda loves milk jugs and I found a toy at PetSmart that was a panda bear...that a milk jug fit inside! She played with that until the noise drove us to distraction! The milk panda is currently in the hospital - has to have his ear reattached, meanwhile its alot more peaceful around here.... :)
